Indefinite Pronouns (kata ganti sesuatu yang tak tentu) adalah kata ganti yang tidak digunakan
untuk mewakili atau menggantikan orang secara spesifik, benda, binatang, atau
jumlah. Indefinite Pronouns ini tidak
jelas, samar-samar, atau tak tentu. Beberapa jenis atau macam-macam dari indefinite pronouns adalah sebagai
berikut:
each, each other, one another, someone,
somebody, somewhere, any, anyone, anybody, anything, something, anywhere, one,
another, the other, the others, everybody, everyone, everything, nobody, no-one, none.
Dari macam-macam indefinite pronouns di atas, penggunaan kata ganti ini (indefinite pronouns) dibedakan menjadi
dua yakni tunggal (singular) dan
jamak (plural), silahkan perhatikan
tabel di bawah ini.

CATATAN:
Terkadang orang
menggunakan kata ganti “somewhere”
untuk kalimat positif, dan “anywhere”
untuk kalimat negatif. Sebenarnya untuk penggunaan ini tidak terlalu
dipermasalahkan, penggunaan kata ganti “anywhere”
terkadang juga bisa digunakan pada kalimat positif, contohnya: I will go anywhere in the world (Saya akan pergi kemana saja di dunia
ini). Jadi, saya sarankan silahkan gunakan kata ganti tersebut sesuai dengan
konteks kalimatnya saja.
