Now, we talk about where we live. Please read the examples of these questions below as the useful phrases that can be used:

Do you live in a house or an apartment?
Where is it?
How big is it?
What’s the neighborhood like?
Is it quiet?
Are there any good shops or restaurants nearby?
Is there any public transpostation nearby?
Do you like it there?

There are many sentences that we can use for asking about the neighborhood. Some of the examples above are just sample. Here the example of English conversation which talks about where we live.

Examples of English Conversations:

Dan: Where do you live, Kim?
Kim: I just moved into a new apartment on Bush Street.
Dan: Oh? What’s it like?
Kim: It’s really nice?
Dan: How big is it?
Kim: Well, it’s fairly big. It has two bedrooms, a living room, and a big kitchen. It also has
        a pool.
Dan: Sounds great!
Kim: Yeah, There’s a Jacuzzi, too.
Dan: Gee, that’s terrific! And what’s the neighborhood like?
Kim: It’s very quiet. I really like it.

Now, after you read and practice the example above, please try to have English conversation with your friends and do not forget to describe about your home, apartment and your neighborhood. It can be fun when you have something much to say beside only asking or answering short questions.
